World Medical Relief receives $50.000 grant from McGregor Fund

The McGregor Fund has awarded a $50,000 grant to World Medical Relief's Prescription Program for Seniors. The Program offers prescription medication assistance to eligible low-income people ages 18 and older, living in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. The grant from the McGregor Fund will be used to support these services.

The McGregor Fund is a private foundation established in 1925 by gifts from Katherine and Tracy McGregor "to relieve the misfortunes and promote the well-being of mankind." The foundation awards grants to organizations in the following areas: human services, education, health care, art and culture, and public benefit. The area of principal interest is the City of Detroit and Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties. The McGregor Fund has granted nearly $160 million since its founding and had assets of $173 million as of June 30, 2005. Visit www.mcgregorfund.org for additional information.
