Short Bio of George V. Samson
George Samson came to the U.S. 30 years ago by invitation from the CEO of World Medical Relief at the time to provide assistance to the victims of Mt. Pinatubo's eruption. Having been involved in a serious accident as a teen, he knows the importance of being charitable, of people helping other people. After one year, the Board voted to keep him here, and George stayed on as a volunteer in the surgical area and expanded the International Program. Because of his commitment and dedication to this Program, he joined the staff of World Medical Relief and became its Director of International Program. Within 8 years, he was promoted to Director of Operations and was appointed President & CEO in 2009. His favorite motto? "Turning the sins of waste into miracles of mercy."
