This is a competitive unpaid position and the ideal candidate is completing a study in public health, health administration or related field. This is not a virtual opportunity and will be based at World Medical Relief's headquarters in Southfield, Michigan (as soon as we can resume after the social distancing guidelines are no longer in place). The candidate will be required to dedicate at least 16 hours per week to this internship until the required internship hours have been completed.

Digital Marketing Assistant
World Medical Relief is looking for one intern to assist with the digital marketing activities of the agency, in particular the digital newsletter and converting digital followers in active supporters of the agency (by donating and/or volunteering) This is a competitive unpaid position and the ideal candidate is completing a study in marketing or related field. Operations assistant for the development department:
World Medical Relief is looking for a volunteer or intern who will support a busy and growing development, communications and outreach department by assisting the director of development and community affairs with the nuts and bolts of keeping the department humming!
This means keeping third party fundraising partner portals up to date, government document renewals, scheduling appointments, development volunteer and intern time management, correspondence, filing, copying, taking notes during meetings, meeting preparation, creating presentations, and answering email inquiries from the community. The assistant should be meticulous in his/her work, have at least a Bachelor degree, a good mastery of English, have extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, be able to multitask, is comfortable with new technology/sofware/apps, have a service minded attitude and a pleasant friendly demeanor. This is not a virtual opportunity.

CURRENT JOB OPENINGS:
WAREHOUSE WORKER: Performs an array of functions that might include accepting and processing incoming stock and materials, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Deals with the public who are making donations or picking up ordered items; helps to maintain the cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse. Workers are required to lift up to 50 pounds, walk or stand for most of the shift. Full time – hourly, with benefits; high school diploma or GED required.
